Daredevil - Now streaming on Netflix the new Marvel series

The first season of Daredevil is now available on Netflix, but what can we expect from this new series of Marvel Studios? Here are ten key points!

The day of Daredevil is finally here: the 13 episodes of the first season are now available on Netflix, ushering in a new phase in the universe increasingly branched Marvel Studios.

The cast is talented: Charlie Cox has been hired as the title character Matt Murdock / Daredevil, while Elden Henson will be his friend and partner Foggy Nelson; Deborah Ann Woll instead lend their faces to Karen Page, secretary of the law firm of Matt and his historic love interest. The antagonist Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, will instead have the features of Vincent D'Onofrio, while Rosario Dawson will Claire Temple, night nurse who works in Hell's Kitchen. The cast also Bob Gunton (Leland Owlsley aka the Owl), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Ben Urich), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa, wife of Wilson Fisk) and Toby Moore (Wesley, personal assistant Fisk). Drew Goddard was replaced by Steven S. DeKnight in the role of showrunner, but remained as executive producer of the series, and is the author of the screenplays for the first two episodes.

But what can we expect from this series? Here are ten things to know before going to the streets of Hell's Kitchen!

1 - A superhero urban

The more freedom granted by a platform like Netflix, along with the very nature of Man Without Fear, allow Marvel Studios to package a product very different from films like Iron Man or Avengers, and TV series such as Agents of SHIELD: Daredevil is one show somber, serious and brutal, where the hero confronts enemies much "land" such as crime and criminal organizations. Matt Murdock acts at street level, the fight to protect his neighborhood and the people who live there. Consequently, Steven S. DeKnight has made sure that the show was as realistic as possible.

2 - We are still in the Marvel Universe

Although it differs from other products of Marvel Studios, Daredevil is still set in the same fictional universe of the Avengers, and that means that there will be references and easter egg dedicated to other superheroes. This is demonstrated also the motion poster published a few weeks ago, in turn rich just easter egg, and a picture of a particular poster.

3 - Fights bloody

Instead of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Agent Carter, in Daredevil blood will flow so copiously, and violence will be more pronounced. Steven S. DeKnight said that the classification of the series could be PG-16, since it will target an adult audience. Not at a level "R" (or restricted), but we're close.

4 - Frank Miller is the main point of reference

The series draws mainly to the stories of Frank Miller, who in the eighties he renewed the character of a superhero Daredevil to make hard boiled, desperate, violent and often tormented by moral conflicts, with Kingpin as the main opponent. Not surprisingly, Steven S. DeKnight said he was inspired by films such as Taxi Driver and The violent arm of the law to immerse Matt Murdock in the right mood. Key reference point, however, is mainly the miniseries Daredevil: The Man Without Fear of Miller and John Romita Jr., which re-imagines the origins of the superhero with greater wealth of detail, giving the blind sensei Stick as a teacher (character that we will also see on the show).

5 - A costume evolving

Initially, Matt will wear a costume entirely black, just like in the above miniseries Frank Miller; then, however, his uniform will evolve gradually, as said the costume designer Stephanie Maslansky, up to the final version, the red one. We saw it for the first time yesterday, in motion poster published by Marvel. However, you will not have to wait several episodes for a sample, but ...

6 - The boundary blurred between "good" and "bad"

Despite Matt Murdock is the protagonist and the antagonist Kingpin, it is animated by some purposes that the public could share. The dividing line between "good" and "bad" will be more nuanced than other superhero stories: Wilson Fisk also, in its own way, want to do good for the city, only he and Daredevil have different points of view. Steven S. DeKnight has devoted much attention to the character of Kingpin, pledging to make it multi-faceted and complex.

7 - Other supervillains

Daredevil also includes other enemies of Man Without Fear, as well as Kingpin: in the series will appear in fact both Leland Owlsley (Bob Gunton) and Melvin Potter (Matt Gerald), better known as the Owl and the Gladiator. We do not know, though, if they adopt their own alter ego by supervillains, as Owlsley has been described as the financial advisor to Fisk, while Potter as his weapons expert. The impression, therefore, is that it will play a more "realistic" and amalgamated to the plot, without wearing costumes or use special weapons.

8 - The first Defender

Daredevil is the first series dedicated to the Defenders, the group that will bring together the superheroes of Hell's Kitchen: Over the Man Without Fear, it will also include Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Each of these characters will be featured in a show of 13 episodes on Netflix, and finally the four heroes find themselves in a mini-series of 8 episodes entitled, precisely, The Defenders. Daredevil will not appear in other defenders, but there will be some easter egg for them.

9 - The torments of the Devil

The series, as a recent motion poster, attaches great importance to the inner conflict of Matt Murdock: of Irish descent, then a Catholic, Matt is divided between the precepts of the faith and desire to fight crime, activities that forced him to linger in violent actions. Often we will see him confess to a priest, as in the comics.

10 - Origins "classic"

The origins of Daredevil are very similar to those of the comics, as was confirmed by some spots: the little Matt Murdock, to save an elderly man who was crossing the road, was hit by a chemical (or radioactive, has not yet understood) which deprives him of sight, but increased his other senses to superhuman levels, and providing it with a sense of radar that allows him to perceive the world around them. With the guidance of Stick, will become a phenomenal warrior.

Another game is going to make his debut on the big screen, it's Five Nights at Freddy's, video game horror point and click type created by Scott Cawthon.

According to reports the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has acquired the rights and to deal in a concrete way the project will be the Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee (Poltergeist, The Ring) and KatzSmith Productions Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and David Katzenberg (IT).

At the time the film has neither a director nor a screenwriter. These statements Grahame-Smith:

We look forward to working with Scott to give life to a film crazy, terrifying and strangely adorable.

The aim of the game is to survive for 5 nights as a security guard at a pizza packed with animatronics killers. The player assumes the role of the protagonist Mike Schmidt (never seen in all its physicality in the game, we only know that has blue eyes, this leaves ample room to production for the choice of the protagonist).

Approaching a new horror saga? It would seem so, yes, if we count that the video game, was born in 2014, had already a prequel and a sequel but of course everything will depend on the receipts.

You will not need that expected until the end of the credits of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, because Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige ensure that there will be no bonus scene; there is one, however, during the credits.

There have been some Marvel Studios to invent scenes bonus at the end of the credits (there is one even he Airplane!, 1980), but it is equally true that the merit of having transformed into a precise instrument of self-promotion - as well as entertainment - it is just the House of Ideas. Nothing lunch of shawarma, this time, but only one scene mid-credit, half of the credits, such as the one with Thanos in the first movie (or, for instance, the one with Von Strucker, Quicksilver and Scarlet in Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the director Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige confess to not being able to find a way to overcome the famous sequence of shawarma (one in which, at the end of the credits of the first film, all the Avengers gather around a table for eating, relaxing a little 'after the battle). Whedon says:

We all arrived separately ... do not want to have to chase that scene. It was a jewel, a little bizarre.

Feige confirmed, however, that there will be a scene during the credits:

There will be a signature. But not a scene post-post-titles.

And Whedon continues:

There is nothing in the end. It is not a bluff. We want people to know it, so will not stay to wait 10 minutes and then say: "Children of ...! I'll kill them. "

Feige has also denied the cameo of Captain Marvel, stating that the superhero debut in cinecomic dedicated to her.

The directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the upcoming Civil War will direct the two sides of Avengers: Infinity War, who will talk about the battle between superheroes and powerful Thanos.

The news was in the air for some time, but now BadAss Digest confirms that the agreement was made: Joe Russo, former director of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the upcoming Civil War, will direct Avengers: Infinity War - Part Part 1 and 2; the shooting of the two films will be held consecutively, between 2017 and 2018, and will come out in May 2018 (Part 1) and May 2019 (Part 2).

Moreover, it seems that the script will be entrusted to Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who wrote the two films on Cap (on the other hand, the same Captain America: Civil War should play a key role in establishing the foundations of Infinity War). The news has not yet been made official by Marvel Studios, but the site believes that the announcement is imminent.

I remind you that the two sides of Avengers: Infinity War tell the epic war between superheroes land (which perhaps will join the Guardians of the Galaxy) and Thanos, made from all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - Joss Whedon confirmed that we will see other Marvel characters

The director of Age of Ultron has confirmed that the film will appear some Marvel characters not yet officially announced, but who it is? Here are some assumptions ...

In recent days we have been pestered by various spoiler on Avengers: Age of Ultron but today we can finally draw to an official source ... and certainly not a source whatever, but Joss Whedon himself, director and screenwriter of the film.

Whedon was interviewed for the Youtube channel of Marvel, and spoke at length of cinecomic, stating in summary the following:

- When he agreed to direct the first Avengers, said that in the sequel we should have been Ultron and vision, and that the latter were to be played by Paul Bettany (by virtue of his class that "goes beyond the British style").

- Quicksilver and Scarlet will allow you to add a strong emotional component and spectacular: "Their powers are completely different, and through them we can see things differently." These two characters have given way to turn "something strange and poetic."

- In the film we see the Avengers both in terms of harmony in both stuazioni contrast.

But the detail that attracts the most attention is at the end of the interview: domandatogli if we will see in the film even more new characters, in addition to those already announced officially (you mean Ultron, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver), Joss Whedon responded with a clear "Yes."
In fact, the trailer showed two female mysterious, whose identity is still the subject of debate among fans: some speculate that one of these two women (the one in the second trailer looks Thor hit with a spell, surrounding lightning bluish) can be Moondragon or the Enchantress, but there are rumors of the presence of Mantis. Do not forget, also, that the character of Andy Serkis should be Ulysses Klaw, historical enemy of Black Panther ... we can hope for a cameo of the latter? At the moment it seems unlikely, but not impossible. Other characters assumed for an appearance in Age of Ultron are Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Spider Woman and Captain Marvel, but not piazzerei a bet on any of them, because they hardly see them so soon.

However, at the end of the film is scheduled to launch its new line of Avengers, but should not appear there characters inedit
